THE TTTC GERALD W. GORDON AWARD FOR STUDENT VOLUNTEER SERVICES

To encourage student vonlunteer services in the IEEE and its test community, the IEEE Test Technology Technical Council (TTTC) and the International Test Conference (ITC) are pleased to announce that they will sponsor the Gerald W. Gordon Award Program starting 2003. The award honors the memory of Gerald W. Gordon, a well-known leader and activist in the IEEE and its test community and a long time member of the ITC Steering Committee.

The award will be granted annually for an initial period of five years (2003-2007). The award presentation will take place during ITC/Test Week. The establishment of this new memorial award program will be publicized through the TTTC electronic and printed media.

Award Criteria

A certificate is presented to a current student for credible service to IEEE test technology related activities, programs and organizations. Qualification is enhanced by the level and number of contributions and dedication to service.

Invitation

Nominations for this award are solicited. Both self-submission or nominations are accepted. Also, two to five endorsement statements are required. The Nomination Form can be viewed or downloaded (Microsoft WORD). The nomination deadline for 2003 is July 31, 2003.

Award Selection Process

All applications will be evaluated by the dedicated G.W. Gordon Award Selection Subcommittee to consist of five members organized as part of the TTTC Awards program. Award Package

- Certificate presentation and Announcements as described above. In addition - - Complimentary Registration to ITC - Complimentary Registration to two TTEP tutorials and one workshop held during Test Week. - Reimbursement of travel cost up to a predetermined level. - Lodging provided at one of the ITC Hotels

Term Limit

This Award will be provided for the next five years starting at ITC/Test Week 2003. After evaluating its effectiveness, it may be renewed for a second five year term.
