  1. When is my final paper due at IEEE?

Papers are due to IEEE on March 28th. IEEE will be sending email with instructions to all authors. If your paper has been ACCEPTED for publication at CVPR and you have not received an email from IEEE yet, there is likely a problem with the email address we sent to IEEE for your paper. You can find the entire author package, including instructions, copyright form, etc in this gzip-ed tar file.

  • Can I change the title of my paper?

The title in the final version submitted to IEEE can be different from the one in the original submission. Any changes in the title or author list of a paper will be incorporated in the final proceedings.

  • Can my paper contain color images or figures?

The cost ($500 per color IMAGE) is prohibitive for color pages in the proceedings. However, if a PDF file with color images/figures is provided, it will appear as such on the CD-ROM.

  1. I need an invitation letter so that I can obtain a visa for entering the United States. Who do I get in touch with?

All requests for invitation letters must be sent to the IEEE Computer Society staff at register@computer.org.

Requests for such letters will only be issued to:

  • IEEE and IEEE Computer Society members or members of the other non-IEEE sponsoring organizations, or
  • speakers, presenters, panelists, and such, or
  • conference committee members, and
  • attendees who have paid their registration fee in full, with full and final approval from the bank or credit card company.

The invitation letter will state only the facts: Conference title, dates and location, that the registration fee has been properly paid and the amount, and whether the person has a specific role with the conference (organizer, committee member, speaker, panelist, presenter, etc.).

Please provide this information when contacting the Society. Any questions or unusual situations should be brought to the attention of CS staff at register@computer.org for advice and help.

  • Is there financial aid available for students wishing to travel to the conference?

CVPR 2003 and the IEEE Computer Society PAMI Technical Committee has some funds available to support student travel grants of up to US$500 each to partially support travel of student authors of accepted papers to CVPR 2003. If you would like to apply for such a grant please complete the following and have it sent by your advisor by e-mail to dyer@cs.wisc.edu before April 15, 2003:

  • Is there a special group code for booking hotel rooms in conjunction with CVPR?

There is no special code. If you are booking a room at a conference hotel, just mention IEEE CVPR when making your reservations.

  • What networking facilities will be available at the conference site?

The entire conference center will be wireless ethernet enabled, so participants are encouraged to bring laptops with wireless ethernet cards for email, demos, presentations, etc.
